A Local’s Guide To Breckenridge: Retail Therapy
Breckenridge’s Main Street is home to many a store. You’ll find your typical tourist t-shirt shop, mountain-inspired home goods and crafts,
clothing, gear, jewelry, hats, and more. Here’s a quick rundown of worthwhile (IMO) places to stop in:
1. Beloved Boutique
Beloved Boutique sells effortless everyday clothing that reminds me of clothing that you can wear on the ocean or in the mountains. The store carries a selection of pieces that you can wear everyday without being ootp or underdressed.
2. Mountain Goat Clothing Co.
Mountain Goat stands as a beacon for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. This outdoor store embodies the spirit of the Rockies with its curated selection of gear, apparel, and accessories designed for mountain living. They carry brands such as Fjallraven, Cotopaxi, Gola, Toad & Co, Top Designs, and more.
3. Marigold’s Farmhouse Funk & Junk
Discover the quirky charm of Marigolds Farmhouse Funk and Junk in Breckenridge, Colorado, where nostalgia meets eclectic taste. Whether you're searching for rustic decor or unique gifts, Marigolds Farmhouse Funk and Junk promises a delightful blend of old-fashioned flair and contemporary allure. They’ve got it all- homegoods, cookbooks, jewelry, candles, bath products, and more.
4. Vintage Sweet and Chic
This store has an eclectic array of clothing that may be a bit eclectic at times, but you can certainly put together a fun outfit from their pieces. Plus, they have some cute homegoods- I always think its worth popping in for the homegoods especially!
5. DonLo Mercantile
Step inside and immerse yourself in a curated collection of handcrafted goods, from fine artisanal jewelry and cozy blankets to unique home décor and ceramics. All of their products are made by small, independently owned artisans from locations such as across the United States, Mexico, and Israel. You can also get permanent jewelry zapped on, featuring sterling silver and solid 14k gold chains.
6. Midsommar Hat Co.
Sister store to DonLo Mercantile, Midsummer Hat Co. is Breckenridge’s resident custom hat company. There’s another brick-and-mortar in town that holds a hat bar, but it is not fully custom. At Midsummer Hat Co., you’ll get your head measured, choose your felt, and mold the hat to your head while custom shaping it just how you like. Keep it simple or take it up a notch by customizing it further with hat bands, quills, stones, crystals, branding, distressing, and sewing.
7. Folcland
This clothing boutique is tucked away in Maggie Pond at the base of Peak 9. It sources its pieces from eco and ethically conscious, independent small buisnesses and supports the slow fashion movement. They also have a selection of leather goods, jewelry, beauty items, and apothecary as well. The store is a welcome breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of Main Street.
