Ramen Momo

Tryggvagata 16, 101 Reykjavík

Reykjavík’s first ramen restaurant, Ramen Momo is not to be missed if you are a fan of this Japanese noodle dish. It’s somewhat of a hole in the wall with limited seating, but they’re serving up super delicious piping hot bowls of savory broth and spicy sides of kimchi.

Höfnin

Geirsgata 7, Geirsgata 7, 101 Reykjavík

Höfnin is located in Reykjavík’s 'city harbor, so snag a window table if you can! This also means it is near where the whale watching tours depart, so it’ll make for a great post-excursion meal! Back in the day, the restaurant used to be a baiting house and gear storage building for fisherman, so it’s only normal that the menu features some much loved shellfish soup and mussels.

Pylsur - it’s a word you’re going to see a lot of in Iceland, but what does it mean? HOT DOGS, ya’ll! Iceland loves it’s hotdogs. This little stand is on the corner of Tryggvagata and Pósthússtræti streets by Ingólfur Square. Bill Clinton visited the hot dog stand in 2004 and over the years it has gained notoriety. It’s a small stand with a big line.
