Small Hike, Big Reward: Hiking Mayflower Gulch
Located in Summit County past Copper Mountain (coming from the West), Mayflower Gulch is an easy hike with a big reward. It’s just a little over 3 miles round trip, up a low-incline jeep trail that eventually opens up into the jaw-dropping gulch.
You’ll walk through a pine forest on the jeep road and eventually you’ll see the Mayflower Creek, indicating you are almost there! It is not a technical hike but you will share the road with the occasional car. In the winter, the trail is not drivable, however it is ski-able! You can cross country ski but because of the incline, skinning might be the easier choice.
